Earlier today, we reported that the former NFL star OJ Simpson died on Wednesday night at the age of 76 after a battle with cancer.

Now, Caitlyn Jenner, Goldman’s father, and more are speaking out to react to Simpson’s death, and let’s just say they aren’t sad about it. Many believe Simpson got away with the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown and her friend Ronald Goldman back in 1994.

‘Good Riddance’

“Good riddance,” Jenner wrote on social media in response to Simpson’s death. Daily Mail reported that Jenner, 74, was married to Brown’s best friend Kris Jenner at the time of the murders. Though Brown and Simpson had been divorced for two years by then, they still vacationed with their children and the Kardashian-Jenners.

Kris’s ex-husband Robert Kardashian represented Simpson at his sensational trial, a decision that tore the entire Kardashian family apart. Simpson was controversially acquitted of the brutal stabbings of Brown and Goldman, though many still believe that he did it to this day.

“He was the most narcissistic, egocentric, neediest a***ole in the world of sports I had ever seen, and I had seen a lot of them,” Jenner wrote of Simpson in her autobiography “The Secrets Of My Life.”

Goldman’s Father Sounds Off

While Brown’s family has yet to address Simpson’s death at the time of this writing, Goldman’s father Fred let his feelings on it be known.

“The only thing that I have to say today is that this is a further reminder of the loss of my son Ron,” Fred told TheMail. “It is a further reminder of my son’s murder and a reminder about the many years we have missed Ron.”

“His death is a reminder that Ron and Nicole were murdered by him. I am not going react to my thoughts about him dying,” he concluded. “I have nothing to say about him. My response will not be about OJ’s death but about he loss of my son’s life by him. Thank you for calling. That is the only thing that I have to say.”

Fred later doubled down on this to NBC News, saying that Simpson’s death is “no great loss to the world. It’s a further reminder of Ron’s being gone.”

Others Speak Out

Others spoke out about Simpson’s death as well. Keith Zlomsowitch, Brown’s ex-boyfriend, said that Simpson’s death was “justice.” Gloria Allred, who represented Brown’s family in the murder trial, discussed Simpson’s death by honoring his late ex-wife.

“I feel that the system failed Nicole Brown Simpson and failed battered women everywhere,” Allred, 82, told ABC7. “In the civil case which followed, he was found liable, responsible for her wrongful death. So, it’s fair to call him a killer. In any event, I don’t mourn for O.J. Simpson. I do mourn for Nicole Brown Simpson and her family. They should be remembered. The system failed.”

“Sometime earlier, he’d given her a black eye. She’d run from the house, she’s hiding in the bushes, she was terrified. What did the system do? They let him plead no contest to battery, gave him no jail time, so that emboldened him, that empowered him, and ultimately he killed her,” Allred continued. “This has to change. We talk about O.J. Simpson all day long, that’s fine, but let’s remember the victims, because they’re very important.”

Alan Dershowitz Mourns Simpson

In contrast, Alan Dershowitz, the prominent lawyer who served as an adviser on Simpson’s legal “dream team,” expressed his sadness over his passing.

“I knew he was very sick, so I’m upset that he died,” Dershowitz said. “I got to know him fairly well during the trial. It was one of the most divisive trials in American history along racial lines. He’ll always be remembered for the Bronco chase, for the glove and for the moment of acquittal.”

Simpson’s death was announced on Thursday morning by his family.

“On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer,” they said in a statement. “He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren.”

“During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace. -The Simpson Family,” they added.

While it’s difficult to mourn Simpson if you are one of the many people who feel that he got away with murder, his loved ones still deserve prayers and condolences during this difficult time.
