It had to happen sooner or later. A roast of Tom Brady is coming to Netflix.

Expect it to be merciless.

Tom Brady, Get Ready To Get Roasted

On Monday, Netflix announced that the former New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback will be subject to being mocked by a megastar lineup of athletes and comedians on “The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady.”

The event is set to take place on Sunday, May 5th at 8 PM ET. It was first announced in May 2022. Two years later it’s finally happening.

And the people can’t wait!

The 30-second trailer released after the announcement shows an undeterred Tom Brady looking to get ready for whatever slings and arrows might come his way. However, we wonder if he signed up for more than he bargained for. Time will tell.

While the roast promises many special guests, only three people have been confirmed thus far: Brady, of course, along with host Kevin Hart and comedian Jeff Ross.

Ross has sort of become the industry’s go-to roastmaster.

Over the years on Comedy Central, Ross seems to have taken over the art of roasting from comedian Greg Giraldo who passed in 2010.

Expect A Massacre

Among Ross’s list of roasts includes actors Alec Baldwin and Bruce Willis, and athletes Blake Griffin, Emmitt Smith, and the “Inside the NBA” crew.

The Brady roast is sure to be a hit. Don’t think for one second that his selective retirement and his divorce from one of the most famous supermodels on earth, Gisele Bündchen, won’t come up.

It will.

But Brady is smart enough to know what he’s getting into. How far will the roasters go, as roasters so often do? We don’t know.

But on May 5th, we’ll finally find out.
