Boxing: Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr

‘Iron’ Mike Tyson just released a new training video that is sure to instill fear in his opponents. Well, one opponent. Jake Paul.

The boxing legend has been posting impressive workout videos since his bout with Paul was announced. This one, however, is captioned as being from the “ultimate POV.”

I guess. Depending on your vantage point. It’s certainly the ultimate POV to gauge just how much power is behind Tyson’s lightning-quick punches.

But it might not be the ultimate option for the guy on the receiving end. Check out this insanity.

Mike Tyson Training Is A Work Of Art

Not gonna lie, that looks painful for the trainer. And I’m even factoring in the padding and protective equipment being worn by the recipient of those punches.

The word ‘Everlast’ on Tyson’s gloves would probably be imprinted on whoever takes those jabs, man.

Think about that. These are jabs and eventually a cross thrown in for good measure. No uppercuts. Hooks. No haymakers when he really lets loose.

I’d imagine they hurt even more. Jake Paul has some things to consider after seeing this video. I don’t care if Tyson will be 58 when they step into the ring together.

‘Scared To Death’

In a recent interview airing on Fox News, Mike Tyson actually declared himself “scared to death” of his upcoming bout with Jake Paul.

“I have a weird personality – I don’t think it’s weird though. Whatever I’m afraid to do, I do it. That’s how it is,” Tyson admits. “I was afraid of the Roy [Jones Jr. fight [in 2020].”

That contest saw the then 54-year-old Tyson fight Jones to a split draw.

“I was 100 pounds overweight, I was however old, 54, 53, and I said ‘Let’s do it.’ Anything I’m afraid of, I confront it. That’s my personality,” Tyson explained. “Right now, I’m scared to death.”

The ‘Baddest Man on The Planet’ scared? Good jitters, he says. Part of the process.

“As the fight gets closer, the less nervous I become, because it’s reality,” he explains. “And in reality, I’m invincible.”

That first-person video is reality. And the man looks pretty invincible.

Jake Paul, ‘The Problem Child’, might want to take note.

The highly anticipated fight between Tyson and Paul is scheduled to take place on July 20, 2024 – Will you be watching?
