After the singer Taylor Swift and the Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce went public with their relationship in September of last year, she became a mainstay on the sidelines of his football games, following his team all the way to their Super Bowl win two weeks ago.

Now, the Chiefs’ offensive coordinator Matt Nagy is speaking out to say that Swift has become “a part of the family” on the team.

Swift Is ‘Part Of The Family’

Ahead of the NFL draft, which is set to take place on Thursday, Nagy reflected on the impact that Swift has had on the Chiefs.

“So many people care about right now worldwide, in part because of Travis/Taylor,” Nagy said, according to Daily Mail. “It’s definitely rare for sure, I mean you’re talking about Taylor Swift and Kelce and Patrick. I know Patrick and Kelce as the people they are away from the different concerts and golf venues etc. I know them on a day-to-day basis.”

Patrick, of course, is the Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

“Taylor, I’ve never met. We love having her a part of the family, the team. What she and Kelce have done is a cool story,” Nagy continued. “I think it’s a credit to both of them to be two big, powerful people that are also so humble in what they do, and they’re so talented at what they do, whether it’s football or singing.”

“We’re enjoying the journey, we’re proud to be a part of it,” he concluded. “We want to keep it going.”

Swift Attends Chiefs Games

After going public with her relationship in September of last year, Swift attended thirteen Chiefs games, including the Super Bowl in Las Vegas.

“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” Swift told Time Magazine back in December, adding that they “started hanging out right after that.”

Swift went on to explain that she and Kelce “had a significant amount of time” together that nobody knew about.

“We got to get to know each other,” she explained. “By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

“Having Taylor as a new Chiefs fan is very unique,” Chiefs owner Clark Hunt told The Associated Press during Super Bowl week. “I don’t ever do an interview without someone asking me about it. I think a lot of players and coaches on the team are in the same boat.”

“The most important thing is we’re happy for the two of them that they have found each other and have such a special relationship,” he continued.

Swift And Kelce Enjoy Off-Season

Swift and Kelce have since been enjoying his off-season together, as she is currently on a break from her Eras Tour, which is set to resume in May.

“This is the first time the two of them have had no commitments and they are both really looking forward to being a normal couple and playing house,” one source recently told Daily Mail. “She is looking forward to sleeping in and cooking dinners at home.”

“They both want their relationship to be as normal as possible and it works because they are both very aware of their fame but neither let it go to their heads,” this insider added.

With the next NFL season right around the corner, it will certainly be interesting to see if Swift continues to be a good luck charm for the Chiefs!
