German track star Alica Schmidt has qualified for the Paris Olympics in the mixed 4×400 meters relay. The 25-year-old is often referred to, thanks to the Australian magazine Busted Coverage, as “the world’s sexiest athlete.”

The 2024 Summer Olympics will mark Schmidt’s debut. She traveled to Tokyo for the 2020 Games as a substitute but ultimately did not compete.

Schmidt took to TikTok to celebrate her achievement, telling fans that “Olympic season has officially started.”

She was part of the German 4 × 400-meter relay team that won a silver medal in the 2017 European Athletics U20 Championships. In 2019, she grabbed bronze at the 2019 German Athletics Championships in the under-23 400-meter event.
