Tyler Black, a promising young infielder, was called up to the Milwaukee Brewers Tuesday. He made his first appearance against the Tampa Bay Rays.

In his first game with the Brewers, Black flashed his potential by going 2-for-4 at the plate.

His first major league hit was a double in the bottom of the third inning, and the 23-year-old followed that up with another hit in the bottom of the fifth.

Black’s debut performance also included scoring his first big-league run for the National League Central Division-leading Brew Crew.

Check out the first two-bagger of his young MLB career.

Milwaukee Brewers’ Tyler Black’s Dad Gets To Make The Call

If that wasn’t enough for your Major League debut, consider this. A Bally reporter decided to interview Tyler Black’s dad after he got that double for the Milwaukee Brewers.

And wouldn’t you know it, he got himself another hit while Dad was talking.

The result will likely go down as the best play-by-play call of his entire career and a heartwarming moment for baseball fans everywhere.

“There’s a base hit to right field from my boy, Tyler Black! There you go! Oh, there you go. 2 for 2! Happy birthday, Nancy,” Dad says, referring to Tyler’s Mom.

Time To Drink

As the Ballys reporter pointed out, Tyler Black’s dad had tears in his eyes after his son collected a second hit for the Milwaukee Brewers.

Then, in true Wisconsin fashion, he added: “Yea, it’s awesome. I think we’re going to start drinking heavily.”

Well-deserved, no doubt.

Black helped lead his team to an 8-2 victory over the Rays and got the traditional Gatorade bath after his debut.
