The New York Knicks are riding high after winning Game 1 of their Eastern Conference Semifinals series against the Indiana Pacers inside Madison Square Garden.

Star guard Jalen Brunson put up an historic performance with 43 points in the win against New York’s longtime rival. The team now has an opportunity to take a 2-0 stranglehold on the series Wednesday night inside MSG.

In hilarious fashion, former Pacers star and current TNT broadcaster Reggie Miller absolutely trolled Knicks fans. He’s set to call the game from the Big Apple for Turner Sports on Wednesday. Miller did not hold back from reminding Knicks fans about his previous playoff heroics inside MSG.

“Just know, the Boogeyman is coming back to town to call the game,” Miller said on The Dan Patrick Show Monday. “I am coming.” He also called out Knicks legends John Starks and Patrick Ewing. It’s trash-talking from an OG in its finest form.

Miller, 58, played for the Pacers from 1987-2005. He had his fair share of drama-filled and legendary moments against the Knicks during his run in Indiana.

“I’m sure I’ll hear the chants, I’m sure I’ll hear all those naughty words,” he said. “I’m good with that, but I’m there to do a job, to call a game. I’m sure this will be a great series.”

Knicks fans will not be providing Miller a warm welcome. It was 29 years ago on Tuesday that Miller broke the hearts of the New York faithful by scoring eight points in the final nine seconds to help Indiana defeat the Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

That came one year after Miller dropped 25 points in the fourth quarter of a conference finals game against the Knicks at MSG. The biggest highlight here was Miller talking crap to Knicks super-fan Spike Lee.

Youngsters have absolutely no idea how great 1990s basketball was. It came before social media. Most of the drama took place on the court. The trash talk was epic. The fights were amazing.

We promise to have a popcorn-worthy time as New York hosts Game 2 against Miller’s former Pacers squad Wednesday night.

Anything can happen.
