The home of the Philadelphia Eagles had a jail in it at certain points in the NFL team’s history. We know how unruly sports fans in the “City of Brotherly Love” can be. Though, they did go away from the drunk tank years back.

Why is this relevant? Eagles fans have behaved themselves much better in recent years. There might now be an obvious reason for that.

According to Team Marketing Report, the Eagles boast the most expensive beer of any stadium in football. The average cost for 16-ounce cold one is $14.67. Yes, that’s nearly $1.00 per ounce.

Overall, the cost to attend an NFL game this past season was absolutely absurd.

“New data from the sports marketing company Team Marketing Report reveals the 2023 NFL Fan Cost Index rose by over seven percent year-over-year, with a total cost of attendance at a league average of $631.63,” via Vine Pair.

That includes tickets, parking, concessions, food and alcohol. It’s also as unreasonable as can be. Sure, inflation still exists. But you have to be kidding us.

Let’s put the cost of a brew in Philadelphia into context for a second. This one scribe visits the Las Vegas Strip often, Mandalay Bay in particular. The cost of a 16-ounce beer inside that posh casino is a few dollars cheaper than Lincoln Financial Field.

As for the rest of the NFL, prices are not great.

  1. Philadelphia Eagles: $14.67
  2. Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Chargers: $13.75
  3. Las Vegas Raiders; $12.00
  4. San Francisco 49ers, New Orleans Saints, Jacksonville Jaguars: $11.50
  5. Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, New York Giants, Washington Commanders: $11.00

How Jacksonville is more expensive than New Jersey is beyond us.

The overall NFL average for a beer stands at $9.56. Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons have the cheapest brew at $6.25.
