It took just 20 games for Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark to break a franchise record for assists. The WNBA season is 40 games long.

Caitlin Clark Sets A New Indiana Fever Record

For somebody ‘who only brings three-pointers to the table,’ Caitlin Clark sure is setting a lot of records these days. And they don’t only involve shots from behind the arc.

Clark led her team despite having a migraine in a come-from-behind win over the Mercury. While the shooting touch was off, Clark, as most leaders do, found other ways to contribute.

And she did this against two players who made the United States Olympic team – Diana Taurasi and Britney Griner.

“I’m just happy we won,” she said following the game. “It was cool to play against [Taurasi] and obviously a really great game. And like you said, this crowd was absolutely incredible.”

Clark is now averaging 16.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game.

Chicago Sky guard Chennedy Carter earlier this season tried to suggest Caitlin’s game is limited to just long-range shots.

“That’s that on that cause beside three point shooting what does she bring to the table man,” Carter wrote on X.

Clark and the Fever will truly be tested on Tuesday when they go up against the back-to-back world champions in the Las Vegas Aces.

Indiana’s resurgence has them in the playoff picture and playing above .500 ball over their past 10 games.
