The golf influencer Paige Spiranac is speaking out this week to warn fans about a “scary” ordeal that involves an impersonator.

Spiranac, 31, took to X to post a photo of herself smiling for a selfie while holding a note that read “I love you,” alongside hearts and kisses.

“Someone sent me this picture that some impersonator sent them,” Spiranac wrote beside the photo. “This is honestly so scary! They took a screenshot of a video I did a couple years ago holding a head cover and photoshopped a sign in.”

“PSA do not talk to anyone claiming to be me! I’m not on any chat apps,” she continued. “I will only ever respond from my verified social media accounts and my passes account. Please report and block anyone claiming to be me!”

Fans were quick to offer their support to Spiranac.

“It’s so sad people trying to impersonate. Good luck,” one social media user commented. Another added, “Sick weirdos, there is only one Paige.”

Indeed, there is only one!

Spiranac Has Dealt With Impersonators Before

This isn’t the first time that Spiranac, who has over four million followers on Instagram, has had to deal with online impersonators. Back in 2022, she let her fans know what red flags that they should be on the lookout for when it comes to this.

“Is the message coming from my verified account? If so, it is me,” she wrote at the time. “Is the message coming from an account under my name that has zero followers, it is not me, that is a fake account.”

“If this person insists on talking to you on WhatsApp or Google Hangouts, it’s not me,” Spiranac continued. “If they show you a badly Photoshopped passport, driver’s license, or an old picture off of my Instagram to prove that it’s me, it’s not me.”

Spiranac Joins Passes

This comes one month after Spiranac signed up for the paid-content platform Passes. Don’t worry folks, it’s not pornographic.

“Big news! I’ve joined Passes,” she announced on social media.

“If you liked OnlyPaige then you’re going to absolutely LOVE my new subscription site!” she added. “Better and more content, livestreams, you can talk to me directly in the DMs and so much more.”

Spiranac Finds Her Passion For Golf Again

Back in April, Spiranac revealed to the world that she was finally finding her passion for golf again.

“I played junior golf, college golf and a year professionally. After that stretch I mentally couldn’t handle playing golf and especially keeping score,” she wrote on X at the time. “I equated my score to my self worth. I know it sounds silly but competitive golf really beat me up emotionally.

“But I’ve found that passion again! I’ve started tracking my scores and grinding on my game,” she continued. “I’ll keep you posted here on my journey! This round at Austin CC I shot a 73. Such a fun track!”

While it’s sad that Spiranac has to deal with online impersonators, that unfortunately comes with the territory of being a social media star these days. Here’s hoping that the trolls leave Spiranac alone so that she can resume her career in peace!
