UFC Welterweight contender Jorge “Gamebred” Masvidal, who holds a record of 35-16-0, recently called out the constantly changing media narratives.
Masvidal posted to his Twitter account, “Covid to Russia to Guns to climate change to Monkeypox to China. These people keep selling fear and we keep paying for it.”
“Follow the money,” he concluded.
Masvidal is no stranger to sharing his opinions on social media. Back in June, Masvidal suggested taking to the streets in protest due to the increasing costs of food and gasoline.
He tweeted, “Cali I feel for you guys. They are saying it’s supposed to go even higher. Buying food and just trying to get to work is gonna start to not even be possible.”
“Might be time to start protesting this by hitting the streets,” he added.
In a follow-up tweet, he wrote, “And where the hell are all the basket ball players and blue check marks that said if we get rid of Trump it will get better?”
“These people don’t care about you because they making millions. No one cares about you and your family but you! Wake up and smell the cafesito,” he declared.
In May he suggested the Biden administration was manufacturing the baby formula shortage.
He tweeted, “Cubans aren’t crazy we just lived it already. Baby formula shortage is manufactured by the Biden administration do the research.”
He added, “Ministry of truth? Wtf. Wake up!”
He also criticized the Biden administration in January sharing a screenshot detailing that the IRS would require reporting on Venmo transactions that meet or exceeds $600 in a calendar year.
Masvidal wrote, “This is what you voted for? At this point even if you voted for Biden you got to start questioning the intentions #impeach.”
In November 2020, Masvidal also wrote, “The media state has declared Joe Biden the President. I wonder when trump gonna drop the hammer to fix the scorecard?”
Masvidal has lost his last three fights with the most recent loss coming against Colby Covington at UFC 272. He also lost to current Welterweight Champion Kumaru Usman twice, first by unanimous decision at UFC 251 and then by knockout at UFC 261.
His last victory came against Nate Diaz by knock out at UFC 244.
Masvidal’s next fight has not been announced, but when fellow Welterweight contender Gilbert Burns suggested Masvidal was his food, Masvidal indicated he would be fighting by the end of the year.
He wrote, “Don’t get it twisted. I’m no man’s food. I’ve got more money than you both and I’m hungrier than both of y’all. I’ll see someone end of this year. God bless.”
