UFC superstar Conor McGregor is getting pretty tired of fighters making all-or-nothing bets during conferences and then acting like they never happened after the fight is finished and the dust has settled. In this case, he’s calling out Ryan Garcia and Gervonta “Tank” Davis before this Saturday’s highly anticipated bout.

McGregor posted to Twitter his thoughts on the decision between the two boxers to bet their entire purses in an all-or-nothing agreement.

“Has any competing fighters bet their purse against each other and then followed thru?” Tweeted McGregor. “We should stop doing this. Fighting is tough. It can go anyway. Luck plays a hell of a part. Don’t be saying you are betting your fight purse against each other. Because it never happens. And it’s stupid. Train hard. Fight hard. Earn your dough. And then enjoy it. God bless.”

McGregor isn’t the only one who thinks the bet is completely stupid either, even Garcia’s father is in agreement and went so far as to go on the record and state that the bet was just ego talking between the two young boxers and shouldn’t be taken seriously.

“Not to disappoint anybody but a bet like that, you would have to get lawyers involved, managers, and you’d have to get contracts involved, and do we really have time for that? I doubt that” Garcia’s father said to Fight Hub TV.

“But I tell you one bet,” the father continued, “That you guys shouldn’t do, is bet on Tank. Because Ryan is gonna be victorious.”

Earlier this week the boxing world went into a frenzy when Garcia and Davis apparently put all the cash on the line prior to their fight. The two boxers who share no real respect for each other have been smack talking each other during interviews and online the entire time leading up to their clash at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Garcia and Davis joined content creator and social media influencer Kai Cenat during a livestream on Monday where the two decided to make the deal. As the two were shouting over each other, Davis initiated the full purse bet.

“Yo, you wanna bet?” challenged Davis.

“Yeah, let’s do it. I’m down,” replied Garcia. “Let’s do it the whole purse. You hear me on the live, let’s go, let’s make a contract, let’s sign it, both of us.”

According to Sporting Payout, Davis will be earning a minimum of $5 million and Garcia is guaranteed to bring home $2.5 million. All this is before the revenue from pay-per-view and ticket sales is calculated after the fight.
