The people’s struggle is a hard battle, but in our white, patriarchal, capitalist society, some need to carry the burden of a $20 million net worth so that the rest of us working class can fight for the privilege of standing in breadlines. Comrade Colin Kaepernick is once again reminding us of his sacrifice, this time doing a big marketing campaign with Nike while also teasing a potential return to the NFL, the same people he called slave traders.
The new Nike campaign has started with a promo video showing Kaepernick at Nike’s Oregon headquarters tossing some balls to current NFL stars who must want some of that racist, central bank money Kaepernick hates-to-love so much.
The merry band of fellow travelers in the ad consists of the Dallas Cowboys’ Ceedee Lamb, Pittsburgh Steelers’ Najee Harris, Miami Dolphins’ Jaylen Waddle, New Orleans Saints’ Chris Olive, and Tennessee Titans’ Derrick Henry– who all have a combined net worth estimated of $39.5 million.
The overall theme here is that Kaepernick is helping Nike make boatloads of cash while the NFL is losing on this ‘obvious’ moneymaking opportunity. It’s kinda like posting a photo of you and your current girlfriend/boyfriend on Facebook but constantly referencing your ex in the post. This is kinda sad that he’s still so hung up on the League he essentially compared to chattel slavery, especially since he hasn’t played football once in seven years.

While Kaepernick is under a lengthy contract with Nike, the question remains whose idea it was to keep the narrative that he might return to the NFL alive? Kaepernick is now 35-years-old, he’s burnt every bridge in the League imaginable, and he hasn’t played since 2016.
It’s done, it’s over, move on to write more children’s books about how racist your adoptive parents are or something. But more importantly, maybe stop being such a capitalist pig and redistribute some of that imperial paper you’re getting paid.
Earlier this year, Comrade Kaepernick accused the U.S. military of looting the “non-white world” and using “imperialism” to terrorize “black and brown bodies.” I’d like to, for one, see the happy, air conditioned, unionized factories his Nikes are made in first.
All this just seems a little hypocritical if you ask me; he is after all the one who claimed that “black liberation simply isn’t possible under capitalism.” So is this the great admission? Is this Colin coming out of the capitalist closet?
Is Colin Kaepernick admitting he is white?
