It’s official folks: should MMA fighter Dillon Danis withdraw from his upcoming boxing match against YouTuber turned WWE star/influencer boxer Logan Paul, BKFC champion “Platinum” Mike Perry will take his place as part of the KSI vs Tommy Fury undercard on October 14.

Paul has been busy creating a narrative that Danis will not actually show up to fight him as part of Misfits Boxing’s “The PRIME Card,” despite the fact that Danis has shown no indication of backing out and even made it to the first press conference for a face-off (which went absolutely wild) with Paul.

While Danis should be making his boxing debut in Manchester, it is worth noting that he has not fought professionally since competing in Bellator all the way back in 2019. Perry, however, is conditioned, ready, and fought as recently as earlier this summer at BKFC 41.

“Hey, I’m a real fighter,” Perry said when he made his surprise appearance in London this week. “This is what I do. This is how I feed my family. These boys been getting money other ways. They want some respect in this game, so they called me here. If Dillon doesn’t show up, I’m ready to fight. And everybody knows, when you get Mike Perry on a card, you get the fight that you’re asking for.”

While the fanfare and excitement for this event is nowhere near what it was for Logan’s brother Jake, who recently faced off and won his match with UFC veteran Nate Diaz, if Danis does pull out, Platinum Mike might be an even bigger attention grabber than the KSI and Tommy Fury main event.

“I’ve been training,” Perry added. “I stay fit. It’s a lifestyle for me. Logan is a pretty big guy. These guys are a little heavier than where I usually fight. As long as I’m in shape, I put the miles in, get some road work, lift some weights, and do my boxing rounds like I love, I’ll be ready to show up if they need me.”

The fight will be available through DAZN at 2pm ET, October 14th, 2023.
