Lizzo is reportedly out of consideration for the Super Bowl halftime show following allegations of abusive behavior toward some employees, according to a report.

An NFL source informed the Daily Mail that due to the public’s reaction to the allegations, the league has removed Lizzo from the list of potential performers for Super Bowl LVIII. Lizzo had previously been regarded as a top contender for the 2024 game’s halftime show.
“Talks of Lizzo being a part of the Halftime festivities, or performing the National Anthem, are dead now that she is surrounded by scandal,” said the source.
Super Bowl LVIII is scheduled for Feb. 11 at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.

Another informant told the Daily Mail that Lizzo’s representatives are actively trying to mitigate the ongoing negative publicity.
“It is becoming more and more difficult with more people coming forth accusing her of extremely inappropriate acts,” the music-industry informant said.

Three of Lizzo’s former tour dancers have sued her, claiming abusive behavior, including an incident where they were allegedly forced to attend a strip club and engage with its performers. One of the dancers also accused Lizzo of making derogatory comments about her weight gain, which contrasts Lizzo’s own public statements about body positivity.
Lizzo has publicly denied all allegations. Since the lawsuit, six others have come forward alleging mistreatment. These individuals were associated with Lizzo’s reality show, Watch Out for the Big Grrrls, available on Amazon Prime Video.
In light of the controversy, the music industry appears to be distancing itself from Lizzo. The organizers of the Made in America Festival announced its cancellation on Tuesday. Lizzo had been slated as a headliner for the event. The festival cited “severe circumstances outside of production control” as the reason for the cancellation.
