NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley, in a recent interview, said that if Aaron Rodgers had implied that he was on the Epstein list, he would have punched him in the face. Barkley went on to say that he believes it’s wrong to make baseless claims about people, and that he would have taken it very personally if Rodgers had made such a claim about him.

Charles Barkley – I’d Have Punched Aaron Rodgers In The Face

Charles Barkley used an appearance on CBS Mornings to weigh in on the Aaron Rodgers – Jimmy Kimmel media-generated controversy.

Rodgers made a relatively mundane joke about Kimmel and the Jeffrey Epstein files prompting outrage from people who are pretending it was something much more sinister.

Barkley, rarely accused of being the smart one in the room, naturally took the bait.

“I would’ve punched him in the face,” Barkley said.

“I think when you’re in the limelight, people get to say things about you that goes with the territory,” he continued. “But when you start comparing people, saying you’ve been hanging out with pedophiles — people having sex with underage girls; that’s dangerous to me.”

Of course, Rodgers said nothing of the sort about Kimmel, making it rather ironic that Charles Barkley called the comments “slander.”

As we’ve covered here extensively at Bounding Into Sports, Rodgers never asserted Jimmy Kimmel was involved with underage girls, nor did he even say the late-night host would be on the list.

How do we know this? Because we have a firm grasp on reality, the English language, understand context, and have more than three brain cells. Unlike Barkley.

Rodgers joked that maybe Kimmel was worried about the list being released because the comedian had repeatedly insulted him for wanting to know who was involved. That’s not saying he was on it. And it certainly isn’t claiming Kimmel was involved with underage girls.

Perhaps Barkley should stick to elbowing 170-pound Angolan players instead of pretending to be so outraged at Rodgers that he’d punch him in the face.
