New York Giants tight end Darren Waller and Las Vegas Aces star Kelsey Plum filed for divorce back in April after just over a year of marriage.

Their storybook relationship did not end on the best of notes with Plum taking to social media as a way to blast Waller. Most came to the conclusion that she was outing him as a cheater.

“I’m devastated. I walked through fire for that man, but now I see it’s time to go.

“God has given me such an incredible life, and I’m truly so grateful for the profound love from my family and friends. One day I’ll share my story, today is not that day. Thank you for the grace to process my pain, to forgive and move forward. Today and every day I will continue to choose joy.”

Apparently, Waller has decided to respond. It comes in video form. It comes in a diss track.

It’s also about what you might expect from Waller at this pont. Warning: Some NSFW lyrics.

Is this R&B? A mix of R&B and country? What is it even? Is that actress supposed to be Plum? Who greenlighted this disaster class? Whoever did should apologize to both our ears and actual recording artists.

“Who knew that I could care? Thought our love was real. Why do you have to run away? Why can’t you just stay?”

Yes, those were some actual lyrics in between Waller simply repeating some sort of audible word we can’t make out over and over again.

A 31-year-old Pro Bowl tight end going back to some high school drama as a way to call out his ex. Is this All American? It really does seem a bit pathetic on Waller’s end.

Those on socials agreed.

Many believe that Waller did drop the bag in his break up with Plum earlier in the spring. The two-time defending WNBA champion has been killing it since the start of the WNBA season, both on and off the court.

If Waller fumbled this much on the football field, he’d be playing in some semi-pro league out in the arctic or something.

As for Waller’s future in the NFL, he’s said to be contemplating retirement. If so, please don’t ever try this as a career. There is only so much of this we can take before going full Vincent van Gogh.

Meanwhile …
