Sunday’s Tom Brady roast had a lot of great moments, but there were some odd ones too. We didn’t even get to see the odd backstage encounter that reportedly occurred between longtime New England Patriots cohorts Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft.
But we did see the most discussed topic of the night, comedian Jeff Ross’ jokes about Mr. Kraft, to which Brady quickly tried to put an end to.

While it felt like there weren’t any topics barred from the joke itinerary, it turns out the comedians did have a few stipulations. They didn’t want to make Brady’s kids the butt of any jokes.
But it turns out, as we all saw, Brady also didn’t want Robert Kraft or the massage parlor incidents mentioned either. Comedian Andrew Schulz said he wanted to make a joke about Bob Kraft, but was told to avoid the topic altogether.
Andrew Schulz says they were all told not to make any Robert Kraft jokes at the Tom Brady roast, which is why he believes Brady was genuinely upset at Jeff Ross for his massage joke.pic.twitter.com/AwDOlKszEK https://t.co/TYPS54PwvC

Either Ross didn’t get the memo, or he simply didn’t care in the spirit of making a joke. He thought it was hilarious. Brady clearly didn’t agree.
Ultimately, everyone else moved on and continued to push the boundaries all night long. But Brady didn’t take any issue with any of the other jokes, at least not publicly. That doesn’t mean others weren’t upset.
