This writer, for one, could not be happier that the fight was rescheduled.

The unusual bout was initially scheduled for Saturday, July 20th, and both fighters were going back and forth.

Tyson was showing off his immense Old Man Strength (he will be 58 years old this June) and Paul was talking smack.

Then the unthinkable happened. According to news reports, Tyson was on a flight from Miami to LA when he had some sort of episode related to an ulcer.

It was bad enough that the airport sent out medical first responders to meet the plane when it landed.

However, after meeting with his doctors, Tyson was given a full-go after a few weeks of rest and light training.

Because he’s Mike Tyson, he still threatened Jake Paul with the beating of a lifetime, even though he wasn’t 100%.

“My body is in better overall shape than it has been since the 1990s, and I will be back to my full training schedule soon,” Tyson said in a statement after his ulcer episde. “Jake Paul, this may have bought you some time, but in the end you will still be knocked out — and out of boxing for good.”

Yeesh!

Combatants Are Upping the Smack-Talk Ante

The smack talking started on day one. Literally.

It only got more terrifying from there, as Tyson made a video showing you just what stepping into the ring with the Champ would be like.

If you’re Jake Paul, do you really want to step in the ring against that? Or enjoy the rest of your life without brain damage?

Well, Paul is all about it, God love him. He seems mentally prepared. Check it out:

And so now we wait for November 15, when these two meet in Arlington, Texas at Cowboys Stadium.
