The 2024 Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony from Paris were something else. Some would call it bombastic. But not a single person watching or attending the event will say the same thing about Celine Dion and her performance.

Four years since last taking the stage after being diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, the multi-time Grammy Award winner absolutely awed the world.

Her cover of “Hymn to Love” by Edith Piaf was absolutely masterful. There really is no other way to put it.

As you can see, Dion was holding back tears as she performed the legendary song. The fact that this performance came on the Eiffel Tower just adds more to the scene. It’s hard to imagine witnessing a better performance with a backdrop like this on the world stage.

It does seem as if the 56-year-old superstar is doing much better. It was earlier this week that Dion announced a residency in Las Vegas. That will also be a sight to behold.

But for now, the attention turns to the magnificant performance she put up in representing Canada in Paris on Friday.
