Pro Football Hall of Famer Terrell Davis is best known for one of the most dominating three year runs for a running back in NFL history.
Davis suited up for the Denver Broncos from 1995-2001, helping lead the team to back-to-back Super Bowl titles. That included winning the NFL MVP in 1998 after putting up a whopping 2,008 yards on the ground.
Davis’ NFL career did not include any drama. He did his thing on the field and represented the Broncos’ brand to the best of his ability.
Nearly a quarter century after his retirement, Davis is in the news for an odd reason. The three-time Pro Bowler shared an interesting and scary story about a recent United Airlines flight from Denver to Orange County in California.

Terrell Davis Says He Was Handcuffed By FBI Agents After Flight This Weekend
Davis, 51, shared the story on Instagram. The former running back indicates that he was attempting to get the attention of an airline employee after his son asked for a glass of ice during drink service. Per Davis, he calmly tapped the man’s arm when the steward didn’t respond to his son.
At that point, Davis claims that the guy snapped and yelled, “don’t hit me.”
While Davis had no other interactions with the man, he says that six law enforcement agents, including ones from the FBI, hopped on board and placed him in cuffs.
“I was then removed from the flight while being recorded by multiple passengers as I was paraded off of the plane in handcuffs by the officers,” Davis said.
A short while later, agents apologized for the miscommunication.
This could have turned out really bad. Of course, America is on edge right now. But that’s no excuse for what happened to Davis.
During his run with the Broncos, Davis tallied 7,607 rushing yards and scored 65 touchdowns. Davis resides in Temecula, California with his wife Tamiko Nash. They have three children together.
