Bryson DeChambeau, the champion of the 2024 U.S. Open, has announced that he played a round with the 45th president for his “Break 50” web series. The episode will be dropping at some point on Tuesday.

DeChambeau Plays Golf With Trump

“It’s time for @realdonaldtrump to show YouTube what he’s got,” DeChambeau, 30, wrote on Instagram. This was the caption alongside a video of himself standing next to Trump, with each of them side-by-side with crossed arms.

This will be a “special episode” of DeChambeau’s popular YouTube series “Break 50.” This series sees DeChambeau play a round of golf with various guests. The golfer announced that “we will be donating $10,000 to the Wounded Warrior Project for every stroke we score under par. Stay tuned.”

DeChambeau went on to claim that he reached out to both the Trump and Joe Biden campaigns about taking part in this. It was Trump who got back to him.

“To be clear, this is about golf and giving back to our nation’s veterans, not politics,” DeChambeau explained. “A few weeks ago I reached out to both parties’ presidential campaigns and [Trump] was down for the challenge.”

“It is an incredible honor to be able to enjoy a round of golf with any sitting or former president, and all have an open invitation to join me for a round of Break 50 anytime,” he continued.

DeChambeau’s Previous Trump Comments

This comes one month after DeChambeau proposed that Trump take on President Joe Biden in a golf match. This was in response to their presidential debate that took place at the end of June:

DeChambeau has never hid his support for Trump from the world. He previously featured a Trump logo on his golf bag. He was also paired alongside Trump in pro-ams, even giving him a set of clubs.

Trump Praises DeChambeau

Last month, DeChambeau celebrated his U.S. Open victory by spending a day at the Trump National Golf Club in New York. Trump himself was quick to congratulate DeChambeau for his win.

“Congratulations to Bryson DeChambeau on his incredible WIN of the United States Open!” Trump wrote on social media. “He showed a toughness and inner strength, matched perfectly with his GREAT Golfing Talent, that can never be denied!”

“Under massive pressure, he pulled off some of the greatest shots ever made, especially his spectacular sand save on the 18th Hole that gave him the Victory,” he added.

Trump has long been known to be passionate about golf in his free time. He often golfs with sports figures and celebrities, like legendary Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre.

Trump must have had a blast filming this “Break 50” episode with DeChambeau. We can’t wait to see it when it drops later today!
