Highlights from the Closing Ceremony

The only way to end these incredible Olympic Games was a Closing Ceremony, full of singing, dancing, and the iconic five rings. After the Olympians sang to hits like “We Are the Champions” the “Golden Voyager” descended upon the stadium to lead an interpretative performance of the rebirth of the Olympics, full of statuesque dancers, a hanging piano, and intense instrumentals.

The next piece focused on passing the torch to Los Angeles, as they will be hosting the 2028 Summer Olympics. Tom Cruise started it off by jumping off the roof of the stadium, collecting the Olympic flag, and heading off into the night on his iconic motorcycle. A cut scene shows him in Los Angeles, decorating the Hollywood sign in the five rings before descending on a concert featuring the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billie Eilish, and Snoop Dogg.

Everything ended back in Paris with French singer Yseult as he sang “My Way” to a roaring crowd of thousands. It was the perfect way to honor the Olympics, pass on the torch to 2028, and honor the amazing city of Paris.
