Just imagine how a Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift wedding would look like. The American equivalent of Princess Diana and Prince Charles from back in 1981? We might not go that far. But it would be a spectacle to end all spectacles.
Unless you have been hiding under a cave or hanging out in space, you know full well about their love story. Kelce and Swift starting dating a year ago last month. Since then, their relationship has become front page news around the world.
It’s not a surprise. Swift has to be seen as one of the biggest international music superstars in a generation. Kelce just won his third Super Bowl as a star tight end for the dynastic Kansas City Chiefs. Initially, it seemed to be an odd pairing. But it has proven to be a match made in heaven.
Things really started to take off during the 2023 NFL season, with Swift making her way to Chiefs games throughout. That came to a culmination in Vegas after their win over the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl this past February. Their embrace on the field inside Allegiant Stadium was about the most adorable thing we’ve seen in some time.
Swift’s interest in the NFL drew TV ratings increases throughout the game. Swifties became part of the lexicon during last season around the football world.
Since then, Kelce and Swift have seemingly grown closer. He went as far to perform on stage with her during the London leg of her Eras Tour earlier this summer.
What now? Well, it looks like America’s iteration of the prince and princess story could soon take that next step.

Report Indicates That Travis Kelce And Taylor Swift Will Get Engaged Soon
“Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift will be engaged soon,” Page Six reported. “A Kelce insider told us the Kansas City Chiefs star has a plan in place to get on bended knee — and put an end to speculation about the couple’s future.”
The insider told Page Six that an “engagement is happening soon.” This seems to suggest that Swift won’t turn down his proposal. That would be all sorts of tragic given how much in love with Swift it appears Kelce is.
“There’s no going down talking to security, making sure she gets to her… She was just like, ‘I just want to be around the family and friends and experience this with everybody,’” Kelce said about Swift’s first Chiefs game. “She got beaucoup points for that. I was like, ‘Damn, she’s in the madness. She wants to support me and do things like that.’ She really won me over with that one.”
Kelce seemingly breaking down in tears last month while watching his better half perform was another example of just how much head over heels he is for her.
Though, it was previously reported that the couple were going through a “rough patch.” That could have more to do with the spotlight that has been on them more than anything else. Kelce’s return to playing football and Swift’s whirlwind concert tour could have also played a role here. But it has more to do with the couple realizing they won’t be able to spend as much time together over the next several months.
“Travis’ last few concerts were bittersweet,” one insider told People Magazine. “They knew their time together like this was coming to an end and he made sure to spend every minute he could with Taylor.”
As for a potential engagement, the Page Six report also notes that a rep for Kelce denied that any official engagement plans are in place.
Interestingly enough, an engagement could already have happened.
“On Thursday night at a Kansas City concert by country star Morgan Wallen, we hear that the wife of a top Chiefs exec was overheard telling pals in a suite that the team’s famed tight end and Swift are already engaged,” Page Six reported.
Kelce was on hand for said concert with teammates Patrick Mahomes and Chris Jones. Perhaps, there is more to this story than we know. The public should find out soon enough.
