Legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady made his debut in the Fox NFL broadcast booth last Sunday, calling the Dallas Cowboys’ blowout win over the Cleveland Browns.
Brady took over for Greg Olsen on the No. 1 crew with partner Kevin Burkhardt after signing a 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox.
Reviews of Brady’s performance were mixed around social media, with some calling him out for sounding amateur.
It’s certainly going to take Brady some time and experience to improve. One game will not come close to telling the whole story.
For his part, Brady was extremely critical of himself in reviewing his performance after the fact.
“I’m tired from the buildup. A lot of emotional energy and not quite knowing how things are gonna go. Certainly, a lot of fun,” Brady said on his weekly Last Week podcast (h/t Awful Announcing). “Definitely things to clean up. So, it’s all a learning process.”
It’s good that Brady can be critical of himself and is looking for ways to improve. That’s how you go from amateur to professional.

What’s Next For Tom Brady?
For the second consecutive week, Brady will be in the booth for a Dallas Cowboys game. They are set to host the New Orleans Saints at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday.
It will be interesting to see how he performs in the booth for this game. We can expect some changes based on what the future Hall of Fame quarterback said in his podcast.
