That decision didn’t seem to take very long! LSU gymnastics standout Livvy Dunne had been debating whether or not to take her fifth year of eligibility.

The debate is over, and Dunne is officially coming back to LSU.

Dunne Announces Return to LSU

College athletics can be a little confusing – but the long and short is, some athletes have a five-year window in which to compete. Dunne being one of them.

She made the announcement via video on her Instagram with a fun little video set up as a letter from herself to the school.

In the video, you see lifetime highlights of Dunne doing flips and somersaults while she reads the letter.

Dear LSU,

These past four years have changed my life.

There’s something about putting on a purple and gold leotard. There’s something about competing in front of 13,000 Tiger fans. There’s something about being pushed by your coaches to do your very best. And there’s something about being part of a team that made school history.

No matter how many opportunities come my way off the mat, there’s just something about LSU. And that’s why I’m here to say, I’m not Dunne yet.

Here’s to Year Five, baby.

Dunne Is Loving Life

It makes sense for Dunne to take her fifth year of eligibility. After all, she led her LSU Tigers to the school’s first NCAA Championship last year.

And her NIL valuation, at last check, was over $3 million.

To be honest, it sounds like a no-brainer to take another shot at a championship while racking up huge megabucks.

She’ll need those bucks to keep up with fiance Paul Skenes, who just made the MLB All-Star team.

Earlier this summer, Dunne shared photos of the couple enjoying some boat time out in the sun.

She’ll have a place to stack that cash too – considering she just recently announced her new subscription platform, in a spicy team-up with golf sensation Paige Spiranac!
