Aussie boxing sensation Ebanie Bridges has announced some exciting news: she’s expecting her first child! Known to her fans as “The Blonde Bomber,” Bridges has been keeping a relatively low profile since her tough decision loss to Miyo Yoshida last December, which cost her the IBF female bantamweight title.

However, her recent appearance at Misfits Boxing’s 18th X Series event in Newcastle gave fans something else to talk about—her baby bump!

According to The Sun, Bridges made her way to the Utilita Arena to support her friend Elle Brooke, who headlined the event. Bridges, who hasn’t been in the ring since her last fight, caught up with Boxing King Media before entering the arena and revealed that she is expecting, much to the surprise of some of her fans and acquaintances.

For Bridges, the decision to start a family hasn’t been easy. In a candid interview with The Sun two years ago, she shared her internal struggle between motherhood and her boxing career.

“I want nothing more than to have a family and have kids. It’s very important to me,” she said at the time. But with her career based in the UK and her partner back in Australia, juggling both dreams seemed nearly impossible.

Now, it seems that Bridges has decided to embrace the next chapter of her life. She told The Sun, “I have to go with my heart and believe that everything happens for a reason.”

Bridges’ appearance at the event wasn’t all about her baby news—she had a front-row seat to see her friend Elle Brooke defend her Misfits Women’s Middleweight title, winning a unanimous decision over Jenny Savage.

Bridges’ fans will undoubtedly be thrilled for her as she prepares to welcome her first child. We wish “The Blonde Bomber” all the best on her new journey as a mom!
