Grand Canyon University’s women’s basketball coach, Molly Miller, has become an overnight sensation after leading her team to their first NCAA Tournament berth.

The Antelopes – yes, that’s their nickname, complete with a mascot known as Thunder the Antelope – punched their ticket to the Big Dance with a thrilling 65-62 victory over UT-Arlington in the WAC title game.

Grand Canyon enters the tournament as a 13-seed and will take on a formidable opponent in the Baylor Bears. In the meantime, they’re celebrating in a big way. And Miller certainly played along.

The 38-year-old coach, already celebrated for her team’s stellar 32-2 season and 30-game win streak, captured the internet’s attention when a viral video of her celebrating with an ice bath in the locker room racked up over 3.4 million views.

Molly Miller Turns Heads – And Probably Breaks A Few Necks In The Process

Now that is how you celebrate March Madness, baby!

Fans and commentators alike have dubbed her a “stunning” figure in college hoops, not just for her looks—some even compare her to LSU gymnast Livvy Dunne—but for her undeniable charisma and coaching prowess.

She has helped transform the ‘Lopes into a mid-major powerhouse.

“I think I just fell in love,” one fan wrote on X.

“This is so awesome! @MollyMiller33 & her team are ‘literally’ Dancin!” added Fox 10 reporter Richard Saenz.

Another added succinctly and directly with the bullseye, “Absolutely stunning.”

She’s A Hot Commodity

As with any mid-major school showing signs of success, Grand Canyon’s coach is a hot commodity. Molly Miller has become a focal point of speculation regarding her potential departure following an extraordinary season.

Her success has drawn attention from more prominent programs.

Miler’s name has surfaced in coaching rumors for high-major vacancies, notably at Arkansas and Arizona State, with some reports suggesting she is a top candidate for both.

And why not? Between Grand Canyon and Division II Drury, where she previously coached, Miller has an overall record of 297–54 as a head coach.

That’s a nearly 85% winning percentage. Holy cow!

Will she stick around to see the Antelopes through to a deep run in the dance? Or will she bring the ice bath celebration to a new squad next season?
