The Heisman Trophy? Check. A viral moment? Check. A fiancée catching strays online? Unfortunately, also check. Travis Hunter, Colorado’s two-way star and newly minted Heisman winner, had a weekend full of highs and lows.
While taking home college football’s most prestigious hardware, he also found himself diving headfirst into the social media trenches to defend his fiancée, Leanna Lenee, after she embarrassed him in front of the nation.

The chaos began during the Heisman ceremony in New York. In what should’ve been an all-smiles celebration, the viral video above stole the spotlight, showing Colorado head coach Deion Sanders telling Lenee to “stand up” after Hunter’s big win.
If that wasn’t enough, another video started making the rounds of Lenee looking, let’s say, mildly unimpressed with Hunter at a post-ceremony party. Social media users pounced faster than a linebacker on a broken play. The comment section turned into a full-blown roast session, targeting everything from body language to vibes.

Hunter, however, was not having it. He stood up for his lady like the defensive star he is, telling the haters exactly where to go. “You ain’t ever had no girl, why do you talk about me? Find something else to talk about. You’re talking about my girl, talk about your girl, go find a girl. Go find a life, quit talking about what I got going on,” Hunter said. Translation? “Mind your business and maybe touch some grass while you’re at it.”
Look, it’s tough out here in the social media streets. One minute you’re holding a Heisman Trophy, the next minute you’re defending your relationship.
But the real question is for you, dear reader. Who is right? Travis, or the haters?
