While many social media stars tend to give themselves sole credit for their success, golf influencer and sports model Paige Spiranac is making it clear that her success online is thanks to some very solid advice she was given by a business mentor early in her career.

It’s advice that might work for anyone. Take a look and see if this rings true for you.

During a recent interview with FOX Business promoting her new exclusive content featured on the website Passes, Spiranac shared more about her journey from the early days of creating content online, which looks very different than the brand she’s established for herself worldwide.

“First, respond back quickly and respond back to everything,” Spiranac told FOX. “There’s a lot of opportunities that come through your door and always respond back as quickly and as soon as you can.”

Paige Spiranac Says: Say Yes

“Second, say yes to a lot of different opportunities, that’s something that I have done throughout my career, where there are times when you’re scared, and you don’t feel like you’re capable, and there is imposter syndrome, and everything is [telling] you, ‘No, don’t do it, don’t do it, don’t do it.’ But the best thing to do is to do it.

“Not everything you say yes to is going to be a success,” she continued. “But I’ve learned more from my failures than I have from my successes. So, being able to fail and learn from it and then grow from that as well.”

Boiling it down, Paige says the key is to say “yes” to opportunities that come your way. And don’t wait on them!

Social media fame brought both positive and negative attention for the social media star. Initially sensitive to criticism, she told FOX Business that she had to step back and focus on building her confidence to create the brand she envisioned. Over time, she learned to accept that people are entitled to their opinions and sometimes criticism, even when it appears negative, can be intended as helpful.

Spiranac now approaches feedback with an open mind, viewing it as an opportunity for personal growth and improvement.

“Life’s hard. Social media can be a pretty depressing place if you allow yourself to be bothered by those certain things. So, if you just take a step back and see it in a different light, social media can be unbelievably positive and a great community.”
