Dustin Johnson became just the latest pro tourer to join inveterate golfer President-elect Donald Trump for a round on Wednesday at the Trump International Golf Club in Palm Beach, Florida.
The pair were joined by Austin Johnson, the brother of the former Masters champion, who shared videos on social media capturing moments from their game.
Fox News was enamored with the future president’s game, saying his tee shots “echoed thunderously” and “the sound of Trump’s club making contact with the ball boomed into the distance.”
I’m wondering if maybe Trump wrote the article himself. Just kidding – as it turns out, President Trump is actually a very talented golfer, as we will see.
One video posted by Austin shows Trump hammering a drive down the fairway.
“A beauty there, sir,” Johnson admires. “Right down the middle.”
Trump’s Got A Golf Game
Donald Trump has an extensive history of playing rounds with professional golfers like Johnson, as well as numerous other public figures.
The Donald, of course, is himself a tremendous golfer. Really.
Video posted to social media over the summer shows Trump nearly calling his shot on a hole-in-one, making an incredible shot without even watching it.
Prior to that, the former President joined U.S. Open champion Bryson DeChambeau for a charity golf event, and there were plenty of highlights to discuss.
“Trump can play,” Bunkered wrote at the time. “Trump was striping it off the tee … and despite playing best ball with a multiple major champ, made a solo birdie on nine and a solo eagle on 12.”

Kai Trump, during an amusing speech at the RNC, mentioned how her Grandpa always keeps up to date on her golf game and how he likes to play mind games if they’re not on the same team.
“He calls me during the middle of the school day to ask how my golf game is going, and tells me all about his, but then I have to remind him that I’m in school and I’ll have to call him back later,” she said. “When we play golf together, if I’m not on his team, he’ll try to get inside of my head.”
“And he is always surprised that I don’t let him get to me, but I have to remind him I’m a Trump too.”
