Donald Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump, injected humor into a golf interview by asking Scottie Scheffler about his brief jail experience during the PGA Championship.

And Tiger Woods just happened to be collateral damage in the process.

The segment was part of Kai’s Q&A session at the LIV and PGA showdown on Tuesday. And she kicked off her questioning of Scheffler with a doozy.

“Scottie, you’re too nice, but how was jail?” she prompted the two-time Masters champion.

The playful banter continued.

Kai Trump Asks Scottie About Jail Time

Scheffler replied to Kai Trump by indicating his brief stay in prison was actually rather non-descript.

“You know, honestly, it was a bit boring,” he laughed. “There’s not really much to do in there. I was in a cell by myself and just kind of sitting in there looking at the walls. So, it was a little boring.”

Scottie certainly had an interesting life on tour this past year. He won seven PGA tournaments, including the Masters, his second green jacket. He pulled in $54,228,357 in prize money – the most ever won in a single season.

Scheffler also was shockingly arrested before the second round of the PGA Championship. He was initially arrested and charged with numerous violations, including felony second-degree assault of a police officer stemming from a traffic incident.

It was a very serious matter at the time, as the Louisville Police Department seemed hell-bent on pursuing the charges until evidence indicated the arresting officer had blown the entire thing out of proportion.

She’s Got That Trademark Trump Sense Of Humor

Kai Trump continued the interaction by taking a hilarious blindside shot at Tiger Woods.

“I mean, orange is not a bad color, though – on you, honestly. You pulled it off just like Tiger Woods,” Ms. Trump joked.

Scheffler quipped, “I prefer the burnt orange a little bit more than the jail cell orange.”

Woods was arrested in Jupiter, Florida, in 2017 on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI). He later pleaded guilty to reckless driving instead, and as part of a plea deal, he entered a diversion program for first-time offenders, which resulted in the DUI charge being dropped.

President-elect Donald Trump is good friends with Tiger.

Kai Madison Trump has a pretty good golf game herself. She recently announced her commitment to play at the University of Miami.

Kai posted a video of her and the newly-minted election winner playing a round, which she captioned, “Sundays with Grandpa.”

During an amusing speech at the Republican National Convention, Kai mentioned how her Grandpa always keeps up to date on her golf game and how he likes to play mind games if they’re not on the same team.

“He calls me during the middle of the school day to ask how my golf game is going, and tells me all about his, but then I have to remind him that I’m in school and I’ll have to call him back later,” she said. “When we play golf together, if I’m not on his team, he’ll try to get inside of my head.”

“And he is always surprised that I don’t let him get to me, but I have to remind him I’m a Trump too.”
