NBA legend Michael Jordan is known for his trash-talking. He’s known even more for an uncanny ability to back it up when the stakes are high and the game is on the line.

And apparently, it doesn’t matter which sport we’re talking about.

Pro golfer Xander Schauffele was mic’ed up with former PGA Tour golfer Cole Knost during practice for The Memorial Tournament this past week and told a story about how he messed with the wrong guy.

Knost asked if the PGA Championship winner had ever played Jordan and pointed out it’s “really hard to s— talk him.”

“I did my best version of it — and then he beat me,” Schauffele replied.

“Straight up. Embarrassing.”

Knost, you see, was shocked by the revelation asking, “What?!”

Michael Jordan Changed After Xander Schauffele Tried Trash-Talking

You don’t become the GOAT without being able to lock in when it matters most. Michael Jordan showed Xander Schauffele just how it’s done.

And he did it against him in the sport Schauffele is a leading professional in.

Schauffele explained how it went down. And how the six-time NBA world champion set about embarrassing him on the links.

“I pancaked him on his stroke holes, and I started talking s— to him and he got all quiet [and] focused. And then he birdied 15-16, no strokes. Beat me straight up. And I was like, ‘All right.’”

Knost pointed out that it was “weird he came through when he needed to.”

Yea. Weird. Because we’ve never seen him do that before!

Another Victim: ‘I Just Paid Him $10k And Left’

Xander Schauffele isn’t the only professional athlete in recent days to tell a story of woe involving Michael Jordan putting them in their place.

Former NHL defenseman told an equally impressive and hilarious story back in March.

“He doesn’t say a word to me,” Whitney said during a podcast conversation. “We get to 17, it’s the 35th hole of the day, par five, I’m on [the green] in two. He’s dead.”

But Jordan sank a birdie putt while Whitney missed his.

“First thing he said all day was, ‘That’s right, bitch,’” he recalled.

Jordan wasn’t finished with him.

“So then we go to 36. I finish the last hole. Another press, lose that hole too. He’s like, ‘A scratch golfer … Bitch you couldn’t scratch my wife’s a–,” Whitney said.

“I just left.” Whitney continued, “I just paid him 10 grand and left. I felt this big [holding fingers closely apart]. He’s pumping rap tunes the whole time that say his name in the song,” he said. “I was like, ‘What planet am I on right now?’”

Larry Bird was probably the biggest trash-talker in NBA history. Jordan is a very close second, maybe even more so off the hardwood.
