Outspoken UFC President Dana White got into a fiery exchange with a reporter over the issue of free speech. The heated debate took place during a press conference where White defended his fighters’ right to express their opinions without any restrictions.

Dana White Unloads On Reporter

The UFC President, speaking to reporters at UFC 297, took issue when a reporter questioned him about the “long leash” he gives his fighters when it comes to expressing controversial views. White didn’t take kindly to the implication.

“First of all, I don’t give anybody a leash. A leash? Free speech,” White said. “To control what people say and to tell people what to believe – I don’t tell any other fucking human being what to say, what to think and there’s no leashes on any of them.”

“It’s ridiculous to say I give somebody a leash. Free speech, brother. People can say whatever they want and they can believe whatever they want.”

At issue were recent comments made by fighter Sean Strickland in response to a Canadian reporter who tried to get him to apologize for his personal beliefs regarding how he would feel if he had a gay son.

Instead, Strickland rhetorically K.O.’d the reporter, the transgender community, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

After the reporter told Strickland he was not gay but an ally of the Alphabet Mafia LGBT community, Strickland launched a tirade against him. (Warning: graphic language)

“Well then you’re a weak fucking man,” Strickland fired back. “You’re part of the fucking problem. You elected Justin Trudeau. When he seized the bank accounts, like you’re just fucking pathetic.”

“The fact that you have no fucking backbone and as he shut down your fucking country and seized bank accounts, you ask me some stupid shit like that. Go fuck yourself. Move the fuck on man.”

Some people weren’t thrilled with Strickland’s comments:

Strickland, of course, is referring to when Canada essentially watched as a wannabe dictator took away all of their freedomes during the COVID pandemic and didn’t really do much to stop him. Especially the weak-kneed media.

You may recall he was behind using brute strength and law enforcement to squash a peaceful protest of truckers who objected to being forced to get a vaccine. Protesters in some instances were arrested, had their bank accounts temporarily frozen, and were threatened with action against their children and pets.

And Trudeau, you may also recall, literally applauded a Nazi soldier.

But yea, it’s Sean Strickand’s obnoxious views and Dana White’s defense of free speech that are top of mind apparently with Canadian MMA reporters.

Strickland is unapologetic in his views and it’s not likely going to change any time soon. He recently ridiculed women’s MMA fighting and said the government is “taking men’s nuts away.”

On the latter, he is absolutely correct. On the former … please don’t take this away from us, man.

Dana White is right to protect free speech. It isn’t an anti-LGBT thing, as evidenced by UFC reupping their partnership with the poster boys of going woke and going broke, Bud Light.

Strickland will have a slightly smaller platform for his views after losing his middleweight championship to Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 297 via a split decision.

White seemingly disagreed with the decision stating his belief that Strickland won the decisive fifth round after an even four rounds prior to that.
