Bronny James might not be able to hit the ocean with a basketball right now, but his aim at the NBA Summer League’s ‘Call of Duty’ tournament was impeccable.
James, the second pick of the Los Angeles Lakers at the NBA draft, showcased his true talents by capturing the video game tournament over a strong, strong field of contestants.
Ultimately, LeBron’s kid won a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III challenge by taking out Grant Williams in a 2-minute exercise.
By doing so, he earned himself a nice $10,000 check and a custom championship belt.

Bronny James Earns His First Championship
While many have criticized the Los Angeles Lakers for picking Bronny James in the draft when nobody else was going to, then giving him a 4-year, $7.9 million guaranteed contract after averaging just 4.8 points per game with USC this past season, he has now shown he is clearly championship material.
Not basketball, of course. But as a gamer.
And let me tell you – those dang kids playing Call of Duty are dang good at it.
Just a few days earlier, James took the court in the Summer League and promptly contributed 8 points in a 99-80 loss to the Houston Rockets.
Bronny was 3 of 14 from the floor including 0-8 from three-point land.
None of that matters though, because the dude can take out ultranationalist snipers in a virtual online gaming world like it’s his job.
It probably should be his job, to be honest.

Hard To Take The Lakers Seriously
Look, we all know that Bronny James was picked exclusively because he is the son of one of the (not thee) greatest players in NBA history and it was the only way they could keep LeBron from going anywhere.
But seeing him celebrate his ‘Call of Duty’ championship belt while shooting like a Rec League chump in all of his games so far is a super-bad look.
In his last three games, James is 6 for 26 from the floor, including 0 for 12 from the three-point line.
Remember when the team was trying to convince fans that his shooting was lights out at the combine?
Yea, the NBA isn’t a game of H-O-R-S-E unfortunately. Nor is it a video game.
Maybe they can set up a PS5 and monitor for him at the end of the bench, where Bronny James will be sitting for the guaranteed years he’ll be with the Lakers.
