Mark Cuban is jumping on the bandwagon of individuals and companies publicly attacking rapper and mogul Kanye West after his recent antisemitic statements, going as far as to call West “mentally ill.”

Cuban made the remarks when asked about Reggie Bullock, a player on Cuban’s team who came out in support of West amid the controversy.

“I think what Kanye West said is abhorrent,” said Cuban, “and based on what I have read from his former family members and associates, I think he may also be mentally ill.” As far as Bullock was concerned, Cuban wasn’t going to go after him for his support of artist known as “Ye” however.

“But what I can say about Reggie is that he walks the walk when it comes to supporting disadvantaged communities and people who are discriminated against. He has also faced tragedy and death by violence among siblings.”

Bullock had told the Dallas Morning News that he was a “super fan” of West, and that he had been “an idol of mine, since losing a father figure.” Despite the praise, Bullock did elaborate that he didn’t stand for everything West believes.

Bullock stated “Everyone knows exactly what I stand for, exactly the way that I try to bring equality within the community for people. And that’s one word that I will stand for, is equality for all people.

“I’m sorry that the world is going through such a hard time right now with things that he [West] said and what he posted on his IG page,” Bullock continued. “I’m just a fan of his and I was supporting him, not what he said.”
