X CEO Elon Musk repeatedly trashed Dallas Mavericks minority team owner Mark Cuban, further escalating their public spat over DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) practices in business. At one point, Musk suggested the two settle their dispute in a UFC-style fight.
Elon Musk Beats Mark Cuban On Social Media
As reported previously by Bounding Into Sports, Cuban opted to give a lengthy dissertation on X explaining his support for DEI prompting Musk to obliterate the entire argument in one sentence.
“Cool, so when should we expect to see a short white/Asian woman on the Mavs?” Musk challenged.
Cuban, having been thoroughly decimated by that response, continued to try and save face on X, repeatedly offering up a defense for his support of racist DEI decision-making in his business practices.
Musk though kept trolling, calling Cuban a “racist” and a “liar,” even celebrating his self-annointment as “(CTO) Chief Troll Officer.”
Should They Settle This In The Octagon?
Musk continued to bash Mark Cuban on X throughout the late Monday hours.
“If mental gymnastics were an Olympic sport, Mark Cuban would be a perfect 10,” he quipped when Cuban tried to further DEI-splain his position.
At this point, here is a video of Cuban’s corner trying to stop the vicious onslaught being delivered by Musk.
Speaking of a fight, Ashley St. Clair had a thought: “This Elon / Mark Cuban fight should be pay-per-view.”
She even added a popcorn emoji.
Musk replied, “UFC anyone?”

Musk has previously challenged Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg to a “cage match” that never materialized, unfortunately.
In the meantime, the X Chief continued taunting Cuban on social media. He shared a video of the Mavericks minority owner saying, “I know I am bigoted.”
“This explains Mark Cuban’s ridiculous overcompensation regarding racism,” Musk wrote. “Same thing happened with #MeToo guys who got bust(ed) suddenly becoming fake ardent feminists.”
The Tesla CEO also shared instances of former President Donald Trump mocking Cuban’s failures on reality TV, along with a post on X in which Trump heralds a decision by MLB not to allow Cuban team ownership.
“Major League Baseball was really smart when they wouldn’t let Mark Cuban buy a team. Was it his financials or the fact that he’s an asshole?” Trump wrote in 2014.
Musk called the comment “epic.”
