One of the best defensive players of our generation, Draymond Green has helped the Golden State Warriors win four NBA Championships while making the All-Defensive team eight times in his 12-year career. The four-time All-Star’s success is undeniable, on the court.
But just because Green has had a wildly successful NBA career despite being a former second-round pick, with 34 others selected before him, doesn’t mean that he’s well-liked. Yet, he is well-known, and his podcast, The Draymond Green Show, has given the 34-year-old a bigger platform, allowing him to comment on everything that goes on around the NBA.
Yet, sometimes, these viewpoints are what we call ‘hot takes,’ and they can be quite controversial, not for political reasons or anything like that, but simply because not everyone agrees with the sometimes bold opinions Green presents. This, in combination with his tendency to play the villain on-court, has given Green a bit of a sour reputation among the sports fan community.
The lack of love for Green was on full display during Wednesday night’s Dallas Mavericks vs Minnesota Timberwolves game at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
Green, who’s been working with TNT on Inside the NBA during pre-game and half-time broadcasts, was on-hand with the rest of the crew for Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. Once Green started talking, Timberwolves fans showered the Warriors forward with a deafening wall of boos.

Green has long gone after several Timberwolves players, from Rudy Gobert to Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards, and even the organization for their overall lack of franchise success. So when Wolves fans finally got their chance to chirp back at Green, you best believe they didn’t hold back.
