Former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown is many things, but one of the things he certainly isn’t is boring. On Thursday evening, Brown shared a parody quote that sounded so much like something he might have actually said, many Twitter users couldn’t immediately tell if it was actually an authentic quote or simply satire. Either way, we’re absolutely here for it.

The fake quote was originally shared by The Sports Memery on Instagram earlier this week.

Brown, who was released from the Tampa Bay Buccaneer’s in January for an ankle injury (which probably had nothing to do at all with the tantrum he threw during his final game where he actually took his jersey off), posted the quote to his official Twitter account, and resulted in a reaction so funny that Outkick contributor Zach Dean labeled it “perhaps the hottest take of all time.”

“My biggest regret,” the quote within the image begins, “in my career doesn’t involve calling my GM a ‘cracker,’ or showing up to Raiders camp late in a hot air balloon with frozen feet, or throwing rocks at that UPS driver, and it definitely doesn’t involve taking my shirt off and doing a victory lap around the Jets stadium mid game while throwing up deuces. My biggest regret is that I’ll never get to see me, Antonio Brown, play a game live. Sure, I can watch the game afterwards, but I can’t imagine what that was like for you all to see something like that.

“Like watching the Beatles or Jesus perform at Red Rocks,” it concludes.

Brown gave the joke his official seal of approval, tweeting the image with the caption “Sincerely AB.”

While Brown’s professional football career may have ended prematurely, he has certainly gifted the internet some truly viral moments which prove that he is certainly a man who lives life on his own terms, even if at times situations can get a little dicey.

Prior to being cut from the Buccaneers in January, Brown and several other players were suspended from the NFL for possessing fake COVID-19 vaccination cards. There was also that time a female model whom Brown had slept with posted photos of them in bed together on her Instagram Stories. Brown wasn’t happy with that, and demanded the model pay him $5,000 or else he’d publicly escalate the situation since he felt his privacy was violated. For the record, Brown has a net worth of roughly $20 million.

In May, Brown called out former NFL player Colin Kaepernick, calling his recent attempt to get back into the NFL nothing more than a cry for attention and a money grab.

“Colin Kaepernick don’t want to play man,” he said. “He was trash…He already took the money,” said Brown. “I still put on a smile, I overcome it. You know, I’m saying Colin Kaepernick created all commotion and winning the cut and the corner. And I’m saying I’m in the peoples faces every day.

“He took the money from the NFL. The settlement. The Nike commercials — all these things… and these opportunities that he’s had to get back in the NFL, and just hasn’t.”

What do you think of the parody quote? Does that sound like something he’d actually say in real life or is it even too outlandish for him?
