The supermodel Gisele Bündchen is opening up about how she found the “strength” to be a single mother to her to two children after her 2022 divorce from the former NFL star Tom Brady.

Gisele Discusses Being A Single Mom

In a new clip shared by the Brazilian beauty brand Vivara, Gisele discussed being a single parent to her and Tom’s two children Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11.

“Being a mother teaches the poetry of everyday life, where the heart speaks louder,” Gisele said in a new campaign for Vivara’s Mother’s Day, according to Daily Mail.

“The strength of a mother only exists because it comes from the strength of another mother,” she continued.

Gisele’s Previous Divorce Comments

Gisele previously opened up about her divorce and about being a single mother in another interview in September of last year.

“I think it’s not what I dreamed of and what I hoped for. My parents have been married for 50 years, and I really wanted that to happen,” she said at the time, according to People Magazine. “But I think you have to accept you know sometimes that the way you are in your 20s, it’s sometimes you grow together, sometimes you grow apart.”

“It’s been very tough on my family. It’s been a lot — in every area of my life,” she admitted. “I feel like whenever it rains, it pours. With all the different twists and turns that life takes, all we can do is the best we can given what happens in our surroundings.”

When it comes to parenting, Gisele wants to remind other women that you must “put the oxygen mask on you first.”

“No one is going to do it for you,” she explained. “The only person that’s going to make those choices is you. Because ultimately, you’re the first person who’s going to be impacted by it. But then, it’s your children, it’s your husband, it’s your family.”

Gisele Denies Cheating Rumors

Last month, Gisele denied rumors that she cheated on Tom during their marriage with her current jiu-jitsu instructor boyfriend Joaquim Valente.

“That’s a lie,” she told the New York Times when asked about claims that she had an affair with Joaquim while she was still married to Tom.

“This is something that happens to a lot of women who get blamed when they have the courage to leave an unhealthy relationship and are labeled as being unfaithful,” Gisele continued. “They have to deal with their communities. They have to deal with their family. Of course for me, it just happens to be a little bit amplified.”

Gisele went on to cryptically say that “no one really knows what happens between two people, only the two people in the relationship.”

‘There’s So Much You’ll Never Know’

Earlier this month, Page Six reported that Gisele took to her Instagram Story on Monday to share a quote from the Brazilian writer Wandy Luz that began, “You look at a person and can’t imagine the story they carry—the pains, traumas, fears.”

“Just as we can’t even imagine how strong, capable, and resilient someone is, behind smiles and glances are achievements and victories; there are people and moments they overcome and dreams and desires to be achieved,” it added.

“There’s so much you’ll never know,” the quote concluded. “So, be kind whenever you can.”

Divorce is always difficult, especially when there are children involved. For the sake of their two kids, it can only be hoped that Gisele and Tom are currently in a place in which they can co-parent together affectively moving forward.
