Jason Kelce Becomes Emotional Recalling His First Taylor Swift Concert – ‘I Was Literally Tearing Up’

Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce could not help but become emotional as he recalled his first Taylor Swift concert. Taylor, of course, is dating Jason’s brother, the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce. And the group seems to be quite the gang!

Jason Attends First Taylor Swift Concert

Last weekend, Jason finally attended his first Taylor Swift concert in London. Days later, Jason and Travis sat down to talk about the experience on their New Heights podcast.

“[We] watched Tay absolutely shred it … it was so cool,” Travis recalled. “Playing in front of 90,000 at Wembley Stadium. I remember 2015 playing in front of 80,000 in Wembley Stadium and then seeing Tay up there going crazy. They get a lot louder for Taylor than they do for American football.”

Jason was quick to agree, saying that the experience “was amazing.”

“It was insanely impressive,” he gushed. “Obviously Taylor’s an amazing singer, songwriter, but then to be able to go out there and be perfect at that level for [that many hours].”

Jason and Travis both admitted that they would not have the stamina to put on the show that Swift does.

“If I did what she did for one song I would have to change my clothes … man I’m tired of drinking these beers and Taylor’s still singing!” Jason added with a laugh. “[I] can’t feel my hand anymore because all these friendship bracelets are cutting off my circulation.”

Jason Was ‘Tearing Up’

Getting serious again, Jason revealed just what an emotional experience this concert was for him.

“It was an awesome experience obviously the Swifties make it very memorable, they know all the songs,” he said. “The run of show even, like the 22 hat, dude I’ve never cried at a […] concert and I was literally tearing up watching this little girl’s entire — I’m about to tear up right now — it was […] so special.”

Jason concluded by saying that this concert was a “very memorable” experience for him and his wife Kylie Kelce.

“I’m glad you guys enjoyed it we had a whole bunch of the friends and fam in town and it’s just cool to come over to London and support her and have a few beers while she absolutely killed it on stage,” Travis concluded.

Jason Discusses Travis And Taylor’s Relationship

Travis and Taylor went public with their relationship in September of last year. Since then, they have become arguably the most popular couple in the world. During this NFL offseason, Travis has traveled the world to watch Taylor on her Eras Tour. He’s attended concerts that she’s done in South America, Australia, Asia, and Europe.

Earlier this month, Jason admitted that “it’s been crazy” to see how his brother and Taylor’s romance has taken his whole family’s fame “to another level.”

“That’s a whole other side of it,” Jason Kelce said on the “Whiskey Ginger” podcast on June 7. “Kylie and I think we have it bad and then we go hang out with one of them for a second. This is a whole other situation here… You can’t be a normal person at that point.”

Whether you’re a fan of Taylor or not, it seems that her concerts are a truly incredible experience. Should Taylor and Travis stay together, it’s likely that this was just the first of many concerts like this one for Jason!
