Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was caught on the sidelines giving an honest assessment of his team’s performance on Sunday.

If not their performance the entire season.

The Cowboys were suffering yet another garbage performance on the field against the Atlanta Falcons with just a few minutes left in the game. Down 27-13 in a contest they would ultimately lose 27-21.

Worse, Prescott was on the sidelines with a hamstring injury. Perhaps it gave him a unique perspective he’s not used to seeing. Because he made a very honest observation of the team he was watching.

“We […]

suck,” he appears to have said to a teammate.

The Team To Dak Prescott: We?

Dak Prescott’s teammates must have been thinking, ‘Uh … we?’

Since signing a four-year contract worth $240 million, making him the highest-paid player in NFL history by average annual value at $60 million per year, Dak has led the team to a 3-5 record.

His passer rating has dropped from 105.9 in 2023 to 86.0 this season. Prescott currently has 8 interceptions in less than half a season. He had 9 the entire season before.

After injuring his hamstring, the Cowboys sucked a little less, with backup Cooper Rush delivering a slightly better adjusted quarterback rating (47.6) than Dak delivered during the game (42.4).

Prescott will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of his hamstring injury, though he is hoping not to miss any time.

His Teammates Wouldn’t Even List Him As A Top QB

Dak Prescott isn’t exactly endearing himself to his teammates here. It’s one thing to say we suck while you’re playing, lumping your own efforts into the criticism.

But to do it on the sideline while your backup is trying to rally the troops as you’re sitting there, essentially pointing the finger at others, is pathetic.

Prescott is already having a bit of a respect issue in Big D.

His own teammates, Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs, recently discussed the best quarterbacks in the NFL and didn’t even consider their own captain for a moment.

They mentioned eight other quarterbacks without uttering the word ‘Dak.’

Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, Jared Goff, and Matthew Stafford were all mentioned. They even squeezed in mention of Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold and Commanders rookie Jayden Daniels.

Diggs and Parsons probably shouldn’t be talking, either. Trevon has just one interception (T-31st) and 4 pass deflections (T-54th) this season. Micah has been dealing with a high ankle sprain and has just one sack during the season.

The Cowboys defense is ranked 27th in the league.

In other words, they all (bleeping) suck.
