Jason Kelce continued his public reckoning over an incident in which he smashed a Penn State fan’s phone on the ground and traded homophobic slurs with him.
As many of our readers already know, Kelce was harassed and heckled by an obnoxious Penn State, even being knocked to the ground at one point.
“Kelce, how does it feel that your brother is a […] for dating Taylor Swift?” the raging jackwagon said to which Kelce responded, “Who’s the […] now?”
He then obliterated the heckler’s precious phone. It was a bad look for the fan but Jason’s reaction made it worse.
Kelce has already made an apology on ESPN where he serves as a Monday Night Countdown analyst.
Jason Kelce Regrets Going After The Penn State Kid
The former Philadelphia Eagles center fleshed out his regrets in a more intimate setting on his “New Heights” podcast with brother Travis Kelce.
He regrets the altercation. He regrets giving the kid any attention – and he’s given him a lot because of his actions. But most of all. Most of all he regrets using the slur. Which is totally understandable.
The fan hit him with a homophobic slur and the Super Bowl champ gave it back … three times.
“I’m not happy about the situation. Me reacting gave him the time of day, and it also gave the situation notoriety. That’s what I regret, all right? It didn’t deserve attention,” he said. “It’s really stupid, and if I just keep walking, it’s a […] nothingburger.”
“Nobody sees it. Now, it’s out there and it just perpetuates more hate. The thing that I regret most is saying that word to be honest with you,” Kelce added.

Travis Understands Why His Emotions Got The Better Of Him
Travis, who Jason Kelce was actually defending in the altercation with the Penn State fan, said he understands how emotions caused him to fly off the handle.
“I know it’s weighing on you brotha. That […] sucks, and you shouldn’t feel this much. Obviously, the scrutiny, the media like views on it, and everybody passing around the videos that are being out there, that’s going to make it a bigger situation then I think what it really is,” said Travis.
“But the real situation is you had some […] clown come up to you to talk about your family, and you reacted in a way that was defending your family. And you might have used some words that you regret using.”
Who was filming the video, by the way? How did it get out there? Was Jason Kelce set up? Why else would this Penn State fan try to bait him – successfully – into an altercation where he can get 15 minutes of fame?
Penn State police are currently investigating the incident.
