Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce revealed that pop star Taylor Swift has initiated a “staggering” change in his brother, Travis.
Notably, he apparently owns couches now. Baby steps, Trav, baby steps.
Jason, during Tuesday’s episode of the “Fitz & Whit” podcast, said the “Bad Blood” singer has had a profound effect on his younger brother, who he thought would never grow up.
In fact, he likened the Kansas City Chiefs tight end to Peter Pan. And with the haircut Travis has been sporting this past season, it makes sense to compare him to a flying boy who lives with Tinkerbell.
Jason Kelce Describes The Taylor Swift Effect On Travis
Listening to Jason talk about 35-year-old Travis Kelce as if he’s still a frat boy in college is kind of hilarious.
“Trav, he is growing up,” Jason said. “He’s still got, though, that youthful enthusiasm. I think he’ll always have that. It’s just part of his personality. … Anyone that’s ever met Trav, you can’t but just love the guy. He’s a free spirit in the best possible way.”
Enter Taylor Swift, who changed the younger Kelce brother.
Jason points out that “I don’t think he had any couches” in his home, adding that Swift’s changes have “been staggering, honestly.”
It seems she brings out the best in Trav. Or at least the adult. Or at least a human person who utilizes furniture.
“I think sometimes you get people in your life that maybe get that out of you,” he said in referencing the Tay Tay and Travis show. “And that’s a good thing.”

She Can Comfort Him As Well
While she’s brought about significant social changes in Travis Kelce, including the purchasing of couches and, obviously, a Flowbee, Taylor Swift can also provide emotional support.
Especially after he and the Chiefs got pummeled in Super Bowl LIX. Kelce had a notably underwhelming performance with four catches for 39 yards. But then, so did the entire team.
Both Jason and Kelce fought back tears in discussing the game afterward.
Travis, during an episode of the brothers’ “New Heights” podcast days after the game, explained that it grew more difficult as the Super Bowl progressed and reality started to seep in.
“It’s a tough pill to swallow,” he said, his voice trembling, eyes getting glassy. “It’s just a tough reality.”
Travis explained that he also had to contend with the reality that his NFL career may have come to a close as he contemplates retirement.
Will Tay be able to help him Shake It Off and return for one more season, or will he have ended his career in a Blank Space?
