Rumors have been swirling that the NFL legend Terry Bradshaw is about to retire from his lengthy (and successful) broadcasting career. Now, Bradshaw has finally broken his silence to address calls from fans for him to retire from Fox Sports.
Bradshaw Addresses Retirement Rumors
Bradshaw, 76, won four Super Bowls as the quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Once he retired from professional football, Bradshaw started a broadcasting career with that has been ongoing for 32 years. As of late, however, fans have been saying that it might be time for Bradshaw to retire. He addressed this in a new interview.
“You know what man, I don’t know when that time comes when then they say to me, you know ‘happy trails,'” Bradshaw said. “Yeah, man, you want to say that’s never going to happen.”
“But I guess when the Cowboys are playing the New York Giants, and you go, ‘Well uh… uh today we have uh… uh, our number one game today as you well know, it’s this huge game between… uh… you know they are really doing good right now (mimicking someone telling him ‘Dallas’ off mic) Dallas!'” he continued.
“Yeah, you can see that you’re pretty much gone. That hasn’t happened yet,” Bradshaw alleged.”But, you know what, when you realize that the time has come, that’s a sad time.”

Social Media Users Call On Bradshaw To Retire
Even so, many social media users still believe that Bradshaw should consider retiring sooner rather than later. They seem to feel that during recent broadcasts, Bradshaw has been showing his age and struggling more than he did in the past.
“Terry Bradshaw needs to hang it up. He’s embarrassing himself at this point,” one fan commented. Another added, “Yeah. It’s kinda tough to see a legend struggle like this.”
“Terry Bradshaw needs to retire,” a third fan argued. “Dude can barely read or get his words out during the halftime show.”
Bradshaw Still Loves Broadcasting
Despite this, Bradshaw still loves getting to work as a broadcaster.
“I love the commentating, I absolutely love it and I cannot wait to get to work Sunday,” he gushed.
“I’ve been doing it 43, 44 years and the guys I’m working with, man,” Bradshaw stated. “It’s a locker room atmosphere for us and we all love and care about one another. Everybody is happy for everybody’s success, whether it’s Howie [Long] doing sneaker commercials or movies or Michael [Strahan] with Good Morning America.”
“Curt [Menefee] is now with FOX in New York City hosting the morning show, so it’s so much fun,” Bradshaw concluded. “And then you know it’s a one-hour show then you watch football all day, and you do highlights, half-time, Super Bowls, playoff games, I mean we do some amazing things at Fox.”
Bradshaw is a true living legend. Indeed, nobody will ever be able to take away the many achievements that he’s had, both in playing football and commenting on it. In the end, only time will tell how much longer Bradshaw’s broadcasting career will continue!
