Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow and his wife Demi-Leigh, a former Miss Universe, announced their first child will be a baby girl.

The couple announced the impending birth in January, almost exactly five years after they were married in a 30-minute ceremony in South Africa.

The couple revealed the gender of their baby through a creative Instagram video where they painted a canvas pink while blindfolded. Demi-Leigh correctly predicted the gender and said she pretty much knew all along.

“I thought it was a girl this whole time,” she said as the two began to paint away. “But, I’d be happy either way.”

After the reveal, the excitement was palpable.

“It’s a little girl,” Mr. Tebow said as another voice chimed in shouting, “Tim’s going to be a girl dad.”

Tim Tebow, Girl Dad

Tim Tebow and his wife added a Bible verse to the end of their gender reveal video, as Demi-Leigh posted the great news to Instagram.

“Our greatest blessing,” she wrote. “We’ve been praying for her long before we knew her, and we’re beyond grateful that God chose us to be her parents.”

“We can’t wait to meet you, baby girl!”

The happy couple chose Psalm 25:4-5 for the new addition to the family.

“We pray that she always finds her identity in Christ and places her hope in His love and truth,” Demi-Leigh wrote. “Now, let’s get this nursery in order! Bring on the pink bows, ruffles, and all things sweet.”

Tim also posted a response to X.

Man And Woman Of God

Tebow, a former NFL quarterback with the Denver Broncos and Heisman Trophy winner as a Florida Gator, has strongly advocated for God and life. And children, specifically.

The one-time Minor League player for the New York Mets also spends his time fighting to save trafficked children. He testified on the matter earlier this month before the House Judiciary Committee Subcommittee On Crime and Federal Government Surveillance.

During his testimony, Tebow read from a letter written by a child who was a victim of sustained sexual abuse over seven years. You simply cannot turn a blind eye to this.

Tim Tebow has also been building a new Down syndrome facility in Guatemala.

Nobody is better known for showing his faith – even on the playing field – than Tim Tebow. His very act of kneeling in prayer on the field became a verb – ‘Tebowing.’
