Former MLB relief pitcher John Rocker and Patrick Mahomes Sr. were seen getting into an intense confrontation following the Kansas City Chiefs loss in the Super Bowl.
Rocker, who has a history of controversial baggage throughout his career, and the father of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who has had several run-ins with the law, had to be separated by bystanders. Both men played in the major leagues.
Barstool Sports posted a video of the incident on Instagram and claimed the altercation took place on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, site of Super Bowl LIX.
Mahomes Sr. appears to be casually talking to a couple of people when Rocker comes up and says something, prompting the two to get in each other’s grills.
Rocker is massive compared to Mahomes, and any fight might not have ended well for the latter.

Even though the Bourbon Street altercation didn’t get physical, John Rocker and Patrick Mahomes Sr. continued their beef on social media.
“This f—ing loser can’t take a damn joke,” Rocker wrote on X. “Wish I laid him out right there and ruined his bulls— weekend even more.”
“You really haven’t changed one bit in the last 25 years,” Mahomes replied before channeling his inner Will Smith. “Keep my name out your loud mouth.”

Is this feud legit, though? Or, is it a work? A means to help promote some upcoming event?
The Daily Mail reports that there are ongoing rumors that Rocker and Mahomes are set to fight each other in an amateur boxing match.
Barstool put out the video and, oddly enough, the rumors indicate the two are set to take each other on for Barstool Sports’ ‘Rough N’ Rowdy’ promotions.
Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, when asked if the two would be throwing hands in the ring, said, “That’s a factual rumor.”

Controversy Surrounds These Two
John Rocker and Patrick Mahomes Sr. have a history of controversy. Rocker became controversial primarily due to his offensive remarks about various groups in a 1999 Sports Illustrated interview.
His comments led to widespread criticism, a suspension by Major League Baseball, and a tarnished public image that overshadowed his career as a relief pitcher for the Atlanta Braves.
The elder Mahomes experienced his third arrest for DWI last February, just days before the Super Bowl. He faced up to ten years in prison.
Fortunately for him, however, he managed to argue that prison time would severely hinder his ability to attend his son’s games in the future.
He was instead given a plea deal that included a five-year probation sentence with “intense” supervision for the first year.
Question – If Mahomes was being ‘intensely supervised,’ why did he almost get into a fight on Bourbon Street in New Orleans?
