It’s never too early to talk about the 2028 presidential election!
After Donald Trump won the 2024 presidential election over Vice President Kamala Harris, Bookies.com is already placing odds who will succeed him in the White House.
The top contenders, according to the betting site, include:
- Vice President-elect J.D. Vance (+450)
- California Governor Gavin Newsom (+575)
- Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (+700)
- Former First Lady Michelle Obama (+950)
- Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro (+1000)
Among the more surprising names on the list is New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, whom oddsmakers give a 3.2% chance of winning the White House in 2028.

It’s not all that surprising Rodgers is mentioned, considering he’s dipped his toe into political waters. While he was running for president, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. asked Rodgers if he wanted to be his running mate.
“I said, ‘Are you serious? I’m a f****** football player,'” Rodgers recalled to Tucker Carlson earlier this year, via the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Despite his initial surprise, Rodgers admitted to considering the offer.
“Oh yeah, I thought about it,” said Rodgers. “Definitely thought about it because I love Bobby and I just wanted to hear what he had to say about it.”
Kennedy later withdrew from the race and endorsed Trump.
Rodgers has established himself as a political voice in recent years, particularly through his outspoken criticism of COVID-19 vaccine mandates and Dr. Anthony Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
