Star tight end Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are looking to three-peat as Super Bowl champs with the 2024 NFL season now here.

Kelce’s return to the field comes after an offseason in which his relationship with pop sensation Taylor Swift seemingly made it to the next level.

Outside of a bogus report of a breakup contract between the two, everything that we’ve seen points to this getting even more serious. Perhaps, an engagement is in the cards?

With Swift at Arrowhead to attend Kansas City’s season opener against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, her lesser half opened up about their relationship. It came earlier on Thursday via CBS Mornings and was part of a larger PR plan unveiling a super-star filled Pepsi commercial.

Within the interview, Kelce joked about how he is simply “arm candy” for Swift and that he’s just fine with that.

As noted above, Kelce’s appearance came under the guise of promoting the aforementioned Pepsi commercial.

It’s a reboot of the 2004 Gladiator-themed ad starring Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Pink and Enrique Iglesias.

This iteration includes fellow NFL players Josh Allen, Derrick Henry and Justin Jefferson. Of course, world-wide music star Megan Thee Stallion is the headliner.

Their relationship started a year ago this past spring. But it really didn’t take off from a public lens until Swift started attending Chiefs games.

From there, nothing could stop the media and public from propping up this couple. Swifties started tuning into football games, increasing the already healthy NFL brand. Football legends such as commissioner Roger Goodell and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones fawned over her.

It came to an apex after Kansas City defeated the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl in Las Vegas this past February.

Now, heading into the 2024 NFL season, we fully expect Swift and Kelce to play a major role as the league continues to increase its brand.

As for Kelce, being “arm candy” for one of the most legendary musicians of the modern era suits him just fine. He’s also seemingly over the shock that came with this new-found popularity and is living his best life.
