A video of tennis great Novak Djokovic showing off his cross after winning a match on his quest to capture the gold medal at the Paris Olympics has resurfaced and gone viral in recent days.

An account that shares news and information about President-elect Donald Trump shared the video, suggesting that the media tried to suppress the clip.

Though there is no evidence of malicious intent in that regard the clip, which the X account implored it’s followers – “Let’s make it go VIRAL!” – did get shared widely across the social media platform.

To the tune of 3.1 million views and counting.

The original posting appears to have the video taken down due to a copyright issue.

Novak Djokovic Goes Viral For Praising God

The clip originally aired in August after a match in which the Serbian tennis player and 24-time Grand Slam tournament winner had vaulted into his first Olympic final.

When asked if he was ready to compete in the gold medal match, Novak Djokovic replied, “That’s what needs to happen. I pray to God that everything will be alright.”

Everything was seemingly alright. He would go on to win gold by knocking off Spain’sĀ Carlos AlcarazĀ in a thrilling final, 7ā€“6(7ā€“3), 7ā€“6(7ā€“2).

Not only was it Djokovic’s first gold medal, but it represented Serbia’s first-ever gold medal in Olympic tennis.

The future Hall of Famer said winning the gold in Paris was “the greatest achievement and greatest highlight of my career overall.”

Showing Off His Christian Faith

Despite the popularity of the viral video clip above, Novak Djokovic was seen showing off his Christian faith extensively throughout the Olympics.

He was spotted kissing the cross and pointing skyward after defeating Rafael Nadal in the second round. His faith showed up again after winning the gold.

“With your gold medal, what do you have to say?ā€ a reporter later asked.

“I have to say this, my friend … God is great,” he replied. “God is great.”
